How to choose arcade buttons

30 mm or 24 mm?

30 mm buttons are the standard size for the main action buttons on Japanese-style cabinets and fight sticks. 24 mm buttons are used for Start, Select and other secondary functions, or as main buttons on compact layouts. Make sure the button size matches the holes in your control panel.

Snap-in or screw-in?

Snap-in buttons clip into the panel with plastic tabs: they are quick to fit and ideal for thin metal or acrylic panels. Screw-in buttons are held by a threaded nut and suit thicker panels, such as the wooden control panels of many cabinets. Check your panel thickness before you order.

Sanwa, Seimitsu or Edierre?

Sanwa and Seimitsu are the two historic Japanese brands of arcade controls, found in arcade cabinets and in professional fighting game tournaments. Sanwa buttons are known for a light, very responsive press; Seimitsu buttons for a slightly firmer feel. Edierre buttons are a sturdy choice for restoring and building cabinets.
